Getting In The Holiday Spirit
Well, here we are
getting ready for the holidays --
I, Squeak, thought I'd be Santa,
but Pişi insisted upon being
a reindeer.
However, we've come up with a little problem:
she's refusing to deliver packages.
So as long as she is driving the sleigh,
you'll all be getting your packages much later --
don't worry,
they'll arrive,
but maybe sometime around Easter.
If we're lucky,
she won't decide she wants to be
The Bunny.
Ground Floor, Please.
Well,
our friend over at Arbroath
posted this:
which we thought was pretty cool.
But then we found someone who did it even better:
Either way, we want one!

We're Just Settling Down For a Long Winter's Nap . . .
. . . when suddenly, we're awakened by a light
and a Human
who looks more than vaguely familiar!
Why, it's our Big Two Legged One,
and she has quite an expression of relief --
It appears that she, too, is ready to settle down
and relax
for a long winter's rest!
And she might very well be spending more time with us!
What joy what bliss,
(but Pişi still is thinking she might bite her on occasion . . . )
Looking forward to sharing the holidays
with our friends in BlogLand!
love from
Pişi and Squeak!

Squeak's latest 'do
Well, here we are folks.
Our appearances have been few and far between,
but it does appear,
that even with all her rushing around,
the Big Two Legged One had time to do it again:
she took Squeak to get another haircut.
It always freaks me, (Pişi) out
when she does that.
It's not a very good haircut, but the Squeaker seems to like it.
Here she is:
She's got a little belly, doesn't she?
Hope everyone's having a great week!

Two-getherness Twos-day
Well, it's actually nearly Wednesday
as we finally post this,
but we wanted to say hi
to our friends in blog land,
and show you that sometimes,
we actually sit together!
Happy Day to You!

Happy Thanksgiving from Pişi and Squeak -- it's a Nyan Cat Thanksgiving!
Pişi and Squeak
really want to say hi to all their friends
in blog land,
and they are very sorry that their
Big Two Legged One
has been so bad at blogging!
She keeps saying it's been a busy month!
Still in honor of thanksgiving,
we want to give you
a Nyan Cat Turkey --
Happy Thanksgiving, friends!
More Pişi and Squeak pictures, soon!

Pişi Playing Catch
Well,
we know this is't the best quality picture in the world,
but Pişi is feeling playful tonight,
and is demanding (as you can hear from her voice)
to show her blogger friends
how she can catch her toys.
In this case, she's playing with a toy mouse.
Hope everyone's having a great week!
Sunday, November 6, 2011
such a sunny sunday!
. . . and I'm just enjoying it
. . . sun?
Did you say sun?
OK! I'm awake!
Bring on the sun!

Camera's Back!
Well!
It appears the camera is back,
again,
so we thought we'd pose for a couple photos.
So excited to be back in blog land!
Just have to wake up
the ol' Squeaker
(Do you think she needs to lose some weight?)
Have a great Monday,

Behold The Bouncing Bunnies -- A Poem by Pişi and Squeak
Well,
if all goes well,
our dear, absent-minded
Big Two Legged One
will have her camera back by the weekend,
and then you'll get some more recent photos
of us.
In the meantime,
we, Pişi and Squeak,
wrote a poem
together.
"Behold The Bouncing Bunnies"
Behold the bouncing bunnies
gazelling in the grass
nibbling nubs of nothing
and bouncing bouncing bouncing
past.
Bunny here bunny there
in our dreams
and everywhere
Behold!
(Boing!)
Behold!
(Boing!)
Behold!
(Boing!)
Behold!
(Boing!)
Bunnies!
(Also, our BTLO has been really busy
with work and stuff she can't explain to us,
and we really want her to sit down
with us and help us write more poetry
and stuff.
We really hope all our friends out there in Blog-Land
are very happy and healthy!)

The water's fine ---
Well, it appears our
BTLO
did it again.
She went away over the weekend,
left us alone, of course,
with visits from Shelly,
our favorite cat care lady.
And she left her camera behind again!
That silly human!
Well, hopefully we'll have the camera back again soon,
but in the meantime,
we thought you'd like this video of a swimming cat
!

Well, I'll tell ya' what,
I wouldn't be so fat and lazy
if our Big Two Legged One
would get one of these:
Instead, I just have to keep an eye on this one:

We Like Puppies When They're Puppets
Well,
it appears the Big Two Legged One
messed up again --
she went away for a couple days and forgot her camera --
luckily, she went somewhere where we know she can get it back,
so more pictures of us will be forthcoming.
In the meantime, we wanted to share
this sweet video we saw
at our friend Arbroath's
blog:
(Yeah, puppies are particularly nice when they're puppets!)
hope everyone in blog land is fine!

sharing the sun
It's coming less and less these days,
the sun, that is,
so we don't fight too much if we find a patch of it:
. . . .
and, I want to wish our Big Two Legged One
a really happy birthday!
Hope everyone is finding a little sun out there!

Pişi and Squeak!

Some Posing
The Girls are feeling fine, because
the BTLO has been spending
plenty of time with us.
Here I am,
looking beautiful,
, and Pişi, as usual,
getting into trouble:
We sure hope we have
more nights like this one!
love to all,
from
Pişi
and
Squeak!

Someone To Watch Over Me
So,
what do we do
when the Big Two Legged One
is off at work?
Well,
she sleeps,
and I sleep,
and believe it or not,
we stay pretty close together.
It's a funny thing:
it's as if Squeak knows
I can't hear,
and when I wake up afraid that I'm alone,
I discover
she's there --
. . . she's really not that bad,
after all.
with love to all

Desperately Seeking Advice From Fellow Blogging Cats --
This is kind of funny:
our Big Two Legged One
has walked into her bedroom for the past two nights in a row,
and despite the fact I was right there on her bed,
she didn't see me.
Actually, I was lying down flat on her quilt,
and perhaps I looked like I was part of it.
What do you think?
I think she's got her mind on too much other stuff,
and not me!
NOT ME EITHER!
We most definitely have a problem.
How can we get her attention?
She seems to be way too preoccupied with work!
They've made her department chair,
and this just isn't very good
for her resident felines.
We welcome suggestions from the cat world
on how to get the BTLO's attention squarely back
where it belongs:
on US!
In the meantime,
I'm just going to stay on this here bed. . . .
Can you help us????

Sunday Night
I just don't get it.
Sometimes I go to sleep and the BTLO is here,
and when I wake up, the BTLO is not here.
Sometimes she's not here when I go to sleep,
but when I wake up she's here!
I just don't know how to control that human anymore.
Well, I'll tell ya' what --
our human has a job that I'd call . .
seasonal --
She teaches at a university.
And it's been the beginning of the school year for her!
So I understand why she hasn't been letting us blog so much.
And I've decided to start hanging out on her bed because
she shows up here pretty regularly.
Hope everyone is well in Cat Blog Land!

Cat In a Hot Carpeted Attic
Look at those flowers out there.
They're just going to town,
and all their budding keeps distracting me
from my work as a budding dramatist.
But here I am:
Pişi,
and as you can see, I've been putting a dent
into this Playwright's Workbook.
The primary subject of my study is
your's truly --
Squeak.
Now every good playwright knows
you need some conflict,
so I make it a point,
daily,
to chase her up the stairs --
That's her version of the story.
This is Squeak here, and I'm here to tell you:
she doesn't chase me --
I go upstairs on my own,
to avoid her version of conflict.
Uh oh,
here she comes:
She wants conflict?
Here, I'll give it to her --
The Zen of Squeakness.
I don't move.
I dare her to try to create conflict!
O.K. Fine.
So I'll do a historical play.
Something about cats in the Ottoman Empire. . . . .
