Meow Meow Me Me

Well,
we are very pleased that
Her Royal Highness
has tagged us in this game of
"Meow Meow Me Me"
which probes into some central questions of our existence.
So without any further ado,
let us please share those questions,
and our responses:

1.  Where do I like to hang out?

Pişi says:

I love to hang out near the suitcases, in case the Big Two-Legged One
tries to go on a trip without me!  (I love to travel and go to new places!)

Squeak Says:

Oh, I just love to sit anywhere,
where I can be noticed
and beautiful,
not necessarily in that order!

2. Who is My Kitty Crush?

  Pişi says:

This guy:

Squeak says:
I LOVE

D'Artagnan Rumblebum,
over at the Rumblebum blog!
Isn't he the handsomest thing?
I think we'd make such a great couple!

3.  What is my favorite scent?

Pişi says:

flowers!

I just love to
stick my face in a bunch of flowers!

(Actually, I also love to drink the water they're sitting in.)

Squeak says:
Without a doubt,
it's
my nip:
(catnip!)

 4.  What's my favorite television show?

Well, to be honest,
the T.V. doesn't get turned on much
at our house,
but when we get a chance,
we like to watch old cat cartoons
on YouTube:

 4.  What is my favorite movie?

We have two favorites,
here's an old one that always makes us cry:

. . .and then we really like all episodes of this one:

6.  What is my best piece of feline wisdom?

( meezermagazine  - a fun page on celebrities & their cats!)

"Of all God's creatures there is only one that cannot be made the slave of the leash. That one is the cat. If man could be crossed with the cat it would improve man, but it would deteriorate the cat."
- Mark Twain Notebook, 1894

"A cat is more intelligent than people believe, and can be taught any crime."
-Mark Twain Notebook, 1895

Now we have lots of cat-friend blogs
we'd like to tag and mention,
so we can learn their
Meow Meow Me Me news,
but it seems that three is the magic number,
so here are three kitties
or kitty families
that we'd love to see respond to these questions:
1.  It's true, one is D'Artagnan Rumbebum,
and now his new buddy Inigo Flufflebum,
over at the Rumblebum blog;
we just think they're so cute,
and Squeak does have
a terrific crush on Rumbles
2. We also dig all our friends
over at Katnip Lounge,
and we love their fabulous playground!
We'd love to hear what they have to say about these questions,
though it may take them awhile,
as it seems there are plenty
kitties over there!
3.  Oh, this is SOOO hard!
We would like to choose so many of the wonderful
blogging cats out there,
but we're going to ask
to share too, because
we love his satiny black coat,
and his name too.
Any kitty named Spitty
must have some interesting stuff
to share!
Hope everyone has fun!  Please visit our friends' blogs, too.

You've probably seen this already.
If you haven't, watch it!
Then pass it on.
(I think it's viral already!)

This Week

Oh hello, friends!

Well, this was a traumatic week for
me and the Squeaker.

Mostly because we went to the Vet.  We hadn't been in a couple of years,
and that was mostly my fault.
Veterinarians, and their assistants, too,
are afraid of me.
I pull my "Wild Turkish Street Cat" routine
in their office,
and they nearly wet their pants in fear.

It happened again this time,
so there I was, pretty quickly, with
my face stuffed in a bag, and two people holding onto me with leather gloves
(now don't you think that's a bit excessive?
After all, I am 13 years old,
or maybe older. . . )
I did manage to get a rabies shot and some other dreadful shot out of it.

How demeaning.
They wanted to "examine" me,
but no way was I having any of that!

Vets are afraid of me.
They told her not to bring me back there.

Ha!

Now back to looking for that ball behind the bookcase.

I know it's back here!
I put it here myself!
But I can't see it!
Why can't she just move these shelves?

Uh oh,

. . . she just took the camera out again;
I know she wants a shot of me
with my butt in the air.

No way will I lower myself for that!

See ya later,
love
Pişi

Cats and Vegetables

I'm telling ya'

it's just not normal.

Look at this goofy feline housemate of mine:

There is nothing left on that plate to eat!
She is actually stalking that salad!
I've seen her.
She eats lettuce.
I've also seen her nibbling on carrots and peas.

Now, this just isn't normal.
Cats are not supposed to eat vegetables.

Now I could see playing with them,
or rubbing against them,
like these cats are doing:

But what self respecting cat would eat vegetables?

cat plays with owl

I was just reading some of my blog friends,
and some of the BTLO's friends, too.

We really like this blogger called
and we really like what he (or she!) posted today:

Here Comes the Sun!

Oh!

Finally!
We've had two days of beautiful sun
here in our neck of the woods,
and -- even better yet --
Mom, woops, I mean the BTLO,
is finished teaching!
She's giving us so much time and loving now!
Life is good!

Here's some poses from Pişi,
who was sharing this wonderful sun with me:

Sometimes she looks like she's made out of glass.

Happy Spring Days To You!
(and if it's not Spring where you are, we hope it's sunny.)

with love
from Pişi and Squeak

cat ears for humans

We really want our Big-Two-Legged-One
to get a pair of these --

Supposedly, they respond to brain waves, or something like that!

Oh, they would clear up so many misunderstandings in our house,
if she had some!

Things We Do To Aggravate Other Creatures:

This is her chair,

so I'm going to sit in it.

This is her travel box,

so I'm going to sleep in it.
(oh, and by the way,
that's her ball, too, and pretty soon
I'm going to play with it!

And then there's this,
a loud purrin' man --
you all think he's happy,
well, he is happy, very very happy

Because he's succeeding in aggravating her!

Oh, nice new window!

Oh, look at this nice window --
I don't think I've ever sat in this one. . .

Oh, hi Pişi,
oh what's that?
A window!  And it's a nice one!
I'd love to take a peek out ---

You would, would you?
