Purina Cat Food Recall: Colorado, Idaho and Oregon

To Our Friends in Colorado, Idaho and Oregon:

We just read at the Big Cat News Blog
that there has been a recall of
dry Purina Cat Food in your states.
Here is the text of the warning,

EEeeek!

According to Wikipedia, via the Dangerous Minds
article about this video,
these cats are playing with
an instrument called a
"Theremin", which

“[was] originally known as the aetherphone/etherophone, thereminophone or termenvox/thereminvox [and] is an early electronic musical instrument controlled without discernible physical contact from the player. It is named after its Russian inventor, Professor Léon Theremin, who patented the device in 1928.”

Now, what would
Pişi do with that?
(since she's deaf! --
The BTLO would sure love to try,
to see if there was a frequency
she can hear!)

Third Floor Adventures

LOOK!

This is MY special space,
and it appears no one is up here!

Let me make sure no one's behind me --

No one's coming!  Oh Goodie!!!

I can be up here alone with our
Big Two Legged One,
and I see my brushes right over there!

Uh Oh--

Just thought I'd check things out,
and make sure
you're not getting too much
special attention!

Ha!

Oh drat!
I guess I have to share --
what a drag--

We Hope Everyone Is Fine!

Happy Summer Solstice To Everyone!

It's been a beautiful summer solstice
in our neck of the woods,
sunny and just hot enough --

The BTLO is pretty amazed
at her African Violets.
I especially like this one --

the really deep purple one,
that one hasn't blossomed for almost two years!

Yes, you'll note that I,
Squeak,
have gained access to one of the coveted
Pişi-Seats,
here by the Violets and the Window.

I really don't know where she is. . . . .

That's because Her Pişiness
is here,
traveling on a higher level:

in my book, everything is better
on a higher level--

I'm always looking to see things
higher

If it's over my head,
it's really bugging me.

and I have to see it,
and sniff it,
and overcome it.

And then I'm a happy cat.

It's true, I'm really not supposed to be
on the counter, but occasionally
I get away with it
for a little while,
or at least as long as it takes
the BTLO
to take these cute pictures.

Of course my other motivation
is to find out what she's cooking:

and all and all,
it just doesn't look appealing
to me.

No meat.

Oh, well.

See ya all later!

love,
from

Pişi and Squeak

Meditate With Us

Oh, our BTLO
is really into meditation
right now.

What she doesn't seem to get
is that we've been doing it all along:

We absolutely love the videos

More on Larry The Cat

We realize we're quite behind the news on this topic,
and especially our British and Canadian reader will find this to be
old news, but since our posting of the bobby letting Larry in at Downing Street,
we've taken quite a shine to the
Minister of Mousing
(or whatever his title is)

We found some great pictures of Larry the Cat --
follow the link, and you'll see
why we think he has quite an impressive profile:

Dusty the Cat Burglar

We both want to give an eight-pawed applause
to Dusty,
the Cat Burglar of San Mateo, California.

( sfgate )

Cute, eh?
Oh, he's a deceptive little kitty, he is!
He knows how to play the cute hand for all it's worth!
It appears, though, that he steals an average of four objects a night
from different people in his neighborhood.

Here's some news coverage about him.
We love the nighttime photos of him dragging his loot home:

Could Someone Please Let The Cat In?

Scene: 10 Downing Street; London, England.

Demanding Admittance: Larry The Cat

Squeak's New Career

Well, I finally found something useful in this house full of books:

This one -- I've been reading it,
and I've decided that I'm going to become
the next
Tennessee Williams,
or
Arthur Miller,
or
Eugene O'Neil --

Note:
none of them are female,
and none
are cats.

So,
I may have an angle I can really play,

and best of all,
I have a wealth of inspiration and material
in my psycho cat house mate --

I'll see you all at the Tony Awards --

Pollen, and Squeak Strings A Guitar

Well, kitty blogger friends,
it appears our
Big Two Legged One
is having a little trouble
thinking these days,
because of this stuff:

She just keeps sneezing and not finishing anything she starts.

So I thought I'd help her string
this here ol' guitar --

(I love the way those strings wiggle around!)

It's not my fault that first string keeps breaking!
Brush me, will ya?

See everyone later;
hopefully that pollen count will be down
soon.

the beginnings of a beautiful relationship:

Another great video
suggestion from Arbroath:

His very appropriate title is:

"Sleeping Kitten Plays Invisible Harp"

You've heard of Cock-A-Poos and Golden Doodles?

Well, of course,
a Liger
would be a cross
between a
Lion
and a Tiger,
and it appears that that
hybridization
can have some side effects.

Here's another fabulous video
about examining and observing
Ligers
after they were saved from a back yard in Mississippi:

Lamb Chop: A Conversation Between Pişi and Squeak

Hey, Fluffy,
would you please bring me that lamb chop?

Lamb Chop?  What Lamb Chop?

That lamb chop, Fluff-head

I don't see a lamb chop,
unless it's
that Lamb Chop:

(hehehehehehe!)

She's Back Home, And We Are So Happy!

We've been silent
for a week or so
because
our BTLO
was out of town!

But now
she's home,
and we're so happy
we're even willing
to tolerate each other!

Here's Pişi,
with the African Violets:

Note the really deep purple one on the left --
it hasn't bloomed in nearly two years!

And of course,
Squeak too likes the flower room:

We'll be back again, soon!

travelin' mom and call for photos!

well. . . .
she's been gone a day.
We're stuck at home,
together,
and we can't blog too much,
for at least a week.

So be well, all our blogging friends,

and in the meantime, you may want to check out this website
that is looking for pictures of
Cats in Windows--

We bet you'll be able to help them!

We will, when the BTLO gets home!
