I really don't know what the big deal is
. . . so the BTLO
went out and bought this new machine.
It's a nice machine;
as you can see,
I can see myself in its screen.
But it's just a machine.
Well, then she proceeded
to do very strange things.
One day, she got me very excited --
the machine was making these wonderful singing noises,
and so was she --
she was sitting there in the middle of the room,
her legs crossed,
her eyes closed,
and the machine was singing.
I really had to check it out.
So I jumped up to the table
on which the singing machine sat,
and everything tumbled!
It's not my fault
that the table was unsteady,
not my fault either,
that the BTLO
had left a glass of water right there.
The machine,
the table,
the water,
all went flying.
And the machine stopped singing.
I ran and hid in a corner.
And our dear BTLO
freaked out,
a little.
Now,
I'll let the BTLO
tell the rest of the story:
So,
I took the less than two month old
MacBook Pro
to a Genius
at the Apple store,
and penitently explained that it had had a run in
with a cat
and a glass of water.
Cats and water, of course,
are not included on the warranty.
Cats and water, of course,
are not included on the warranty.
And the Genius looked at my receipt
and didn't even turn on the machine.
"I appreciate your honesty,"
he said.
"How much do you have saved on it?"
"Not much,"
I replied.
And he turned and called to the woman standing behind him:
"bring me a new MacBook Pro."
And she did,
and the soggy computer was whisked away
and replaced
with a brand-spanking new one.
Ah, the miracles of owning a Mac.
And of being honest.
I still don't know
what the big deal is!

Oh, the Genius was VERY helpful! Concats on getting a replacement.
The mom spilled a glass of RED wine over her previous laptop...Surprisingly, after taking it in a couple of times for cleaning, it lasted another two years. But the mom doesn't drink wine close to the computer anymore!
HOLY COD!!! You squeaked by there, no pun intended!
Dear Sweet Furiend, YOU did nuffing wrong at all! What did the BTLO think would happen if she left a singing computer and a glass of water on the shaky table?
Really, she was asking for it.
Oh, absolutely Spitty! Our BTLO can be a little ditsy sometimes!
Wow! Great customer service from Apple! We have Mac computers too and love them.
